Overview:
- Job Title: Graphic Designer

- Reports To: Art Director
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles and be proficient in using design software to create visually compelling content. The graphic designer should have an understanding of branding, design, typography, photography, color, and layout, and can create new ground-up creative as needed, as well as work within existing brands.
The graphic designer will work closely with the creative, strategy, design, and project management teams to bring ideas to life through innovative design solutions that align with our client’s brand identity and objectives.
The graphic designer will work individually and as a part of the creative team on projects with guidance and collaboration from the Art Director. They will work on multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and communication with the Art Director and Project Manager.
About you:
- You can create, layout, and revise design files using established style guides, templates, and branding guidelines created by Xdesign.
- You can conceptualize a project from the ground up, and establish the look and feel of new brands.
- You have the ability to work on a variety of project types that include, but are not limited to, graphic design in general, email design, social media ads, display ads, print ads, brochures, and presentations.
- You can execute design changes based on feedback from the client and internal team.
- You are proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop.
- You have the ability to follow instructions but aren’t afraid to ask questions.
- You have a solid understanding of layout, typography, and color.
- You can handle constructive feedback in a collaborative environment.
- You’re team-minded, offer help to others, organized, and follow processes.
- You’re detail-oriented and can be trusted to produce accurate work.
- You’re cool under pressure, working in a deadline-driven environment.
- You get it. You have soft skills that can’t be taught. You can read a room.

- You don’t take yourself too seriously.
- Not required, however, great to have:
- You’ve worked in email marketing platforms such as MailChimp.
- You’re knowledgeable about web layout, including the ability to work on websites built-in Squarespace and WordPress.
- You’re comfortable with video editing software like AfterEffects and can create and revise motion graphics.
- You’ve created graphics in online softwares like Creatopy or Canva.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Create and design various materials for digital and print media, including but not limited to brochures, logos, posters, web graphics, social media content, infographics, and advertisements.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to the company's and clients’ branding guidelines and maintain consistency across all marketing channels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the creative and project management teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and deadlines.
- Conceptualization: Brainstorm and develop creative ideas and concepts that align with the client’s and project’s strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Review and proof graphics for errors before final production, ensuring high-quality output.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of design innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) or other relevant tools. Experience in video editing and animations is not required, but a plus. Familiarity with web design principles and basic HTML/CSS.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects that demonstrate design skills and versatility.
- Creativity: Exceptional creative and innovative thinking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find creative solutions to design challenges.
